A Wonderful Miracle

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=559442

Joel Bearder was born with a heart condition that meant he was starved of oxygen. Attempts to operate failed and he was given only a few days - weeks at the most - to live.

Now, eight months later, he is as healthy as ever. His heart, instead of failing, started to work normally. The doctors are mystified and say they've never seen anything like it before.

This is truly a miracle. I am sure I am with his parents in thanking God for helping Joel to live. God obviously has plans for him in later life.

I am Joels mum - the article is incorrect - Joel wasn't starved of oxygen and surgery didnt't fail. Joels survived when he wasn't expected to, but did thanks to the dedication of his doctors, his family, and some amazing medicines. He did not heal himself, though has overcome amazing obstacles - we are just about to celebrate his first birthday, something we never thought would happen - we could never be more grateful for the fect the we still have our beautiful little boy.

Hi Joel's Mum, thanks for setting the record straight (That's the Daily Mail for you!), though I hope you'll forgive me for not withdrawing my opinion that his unexpected survival comes under the heading of "miracle".

I am so glad that he is still doing well; my best wishes to all of you and I hope his forthcoming birthday is the first of many.
